About The TimbukII Initiative

This organization is a property ownership and wealth-building initiative that will create opportunities for black and indigenous families to be land and property owners minimizing barriers that have kept them out of obtaining generational wealth. Inspired by the “failed” Timbuctoo experiment in New York State in the 1850’s, the organization seeks to close the wealth gap by updating the initial Timbuctoo model allowing populations who have been systemically and historically disenfranchised to own property that can be passed on through family lineage. The organization will provide social sustainability and empower middle-class families to live and work here.
